    It’s a well known fact that cooler air is denser and contains more oxygen. Cooler engine air inlet temperatures result in more power. But your stock, restrictive engine air intake system delivers hot air from the engine compartment! The answer to this dilemma is to install an AEM Intakes Cold Air Intake system. AEM Intakes starts by positioning its high-flow Dryflow air filter outside the engine compartment, to draw in the coolest air possible. AEM Intakes performs extensive temperature testing for each application to determine the best filter location. But that’s not the end of the story. The Dryflow air filter is connected to the engine air intake by an aluminum tube tuned in length and diameter to match the engine’s intake resonance. Each Dryflow filter is engineered to exceed the normal flow capacities of the engine it is required for when clean, while providing outstanding filtration and dust holding capacity.     The Stage 2 Si Cold Air Intake System is for those who want a substantial performance gain with less intake noise and a stock appearance. It replaces your factory, restrictive air intake system with the massive aFe performance air filter of your choice, a sealed plastic air box that isolates the filter from engine heat and quiets intake noise, and a rotomolded plastic intake tube with smooth bends for increased airflow volume. The increased flow of cooler air to your engine will result in noticeable gains in power and performance.     The aFe Pro 5R air filter was designed to provide the maximum airflow possible, to enable your engine to make the most horsepower and torque. But aFe didn’t achieve this by ignoring engine protection. The Pro 5R outperforms most other cotton gauze air filters with a 98.6% efficiency rating. The increased airflow and high filtration capability are the result of the Pro 5R’s construction. It’s made of 5 layers of progressively finer medical-grade cotton gauze.

    Competitors use constant size mesh gauze in their filters, which creates voids/openings that can allow dirt to pass through. As the progressively finer layers of gauze are stacked in the Pro 5R, the randomness of the openings increase, minimizing spaces with no filter media. Dust accumulates on multiple layers, increasing overall dust holding capacity and filtration efficiency.

    The Pro DRY S filter combines high airflow and filtration efficiency with the convenience of oil-free maintenance. It contains 3 layers of randomly porous synthetic fabric, which allows approximately twice the airflow when compared to a typical stock air filter. The increased airflow results in more horsepower and torque, better throttle response and more miles per gallon. But this improved airflow and performance hasn’t been gained at the expense of engine protection. The Pro DRY S has an excellent 99.2% filtration efficiency rating.

    The pleats in both filters are evenly spaced for greater dust holding capacity and the tips are rounded for better airflow. They’re also 30% deeper than comparable aftermarket air filters for longer service intervals and greater dust holding capacity. The sealing surface and supporting structures are made from 100% polyurethane, to withstand extreme engine temperatures.

    The one-piece sealed plastic airbox may install in the same location as the factory airbox, but there the similarity ends. The Stage 2 Si airbox is much larger inside in order to include the largest aFe filter possible. The air box also features strategically located openings and scoops to ensure that only the coolest air is forced into the air filter for greater efficiency and performance. And enclosing the air filter also results in less intake noise. The Stage 2 Si airbox installs easily; no cutting or drilling is required, and it’s attached with quality stainless steel hardware supplied with the kit.

    A specially developed 3-angle velocity stack smoothes the airflow transition from the air filter to the rotomolded intake tube. The precision design and smooth contours of the intake tube maximize airflow volume and speed for optimum power gains. The intake tube also features a precision tuned MAF sensor pad, which will not affect engine performance or cause a CHECK ENGINE light.

    The MXP Series takes the Cold Air Dam Intake System to the next level. The molded polyethylene MXP airbox seals against the hood and forms a complete enclosure for the SynthaFlow or SynthaMax air filter.     The SynthaFlow air filter is a cotton-gauze and synthetic blend that outperforms plain cotton-gauze in clean air testing.     The SynthaMax filter is 100% synthetic, with an inner filter media consisting of two distinct layers of specifically designed synthetic materials that have separate performance characteristics. Contaminants are first captured by the outer layer of synthetic needle felt polyester material, designed for wet and dry filtration with high airflow capacity. The inner layer of rayon/polyester captures any remaining contaminants while maintaining high airflow and low restriction. The inner filter media is supported by an inner and outer layer of wire mesh for strength and durability.

    Each filter is over 99% efficient, meaning it allows more airflow while filtering out dirt particles ordinary filters let pass. You get better performance without sacrificing air filtration.

    Some intake systems also include a roto-molded polyethylene intake tube, which further aids airflow to the engine. This tube is less affected by engine heat than steel or aluminum tubing.

    Safety – PedalMonster is the ONLY throttle sensitivity device with ActiveSafety. In the event of an internal or external circuit failure the system’s seamlessly returns the pedal to stock. When all other devices fail, they leave the vehicle inoperable leading to dangerous situations. Imagine losing power while passing on a two-land road while heading into oncoming traffic. All modern throttle pedals communicate with the vehicle’s ECM via two distinct signals (APP1 and APP2). This is done for safety. PedalMonster’s Watchdog Circuitry constantly checks for signal linearity between these two signals and monitors input and output values. If it detects any irregularities, PedalMonster returns to stock. PedalMonster’s internal circuitry is powered by the reliable +12 volt OBD-II connector. Competitive devices draw current directly from the low-overhead +5 volt throttle pedal circuit, often rendering the vehicle inoperable leading to dangerous situations.

    Reverse Safety – PedalMonster returns the vehicle to stock throttle response when in reverse gear (availability varies by vehicle).

    Bully Dog® was formed in 1998 in Aberdeen, Idaho. The founders of Bully Dog – Michael, Phillip, and Daryl Klassen – were heavily influenced by their father Harold’s interest in improving vehicle performance. To make useable real world power, Gibson equips this system with the Superflow muffler and mandrel bent tubing. The all-welded construction Superflow muffler is baffled and chambered for better volume efficiency with unrestricted flow. It’s so efficient it has only 5% exhaust flow restriction, as opposed to the 34% or more restriction in a typical stock muffler, and the 10-20% restriction that exists with some aftermarket mufflers. And the increased flow and great sound is achieved without using any muffler packing, so there’s no packing to blow out. Your exhaust flow and sound will remain consistent throughout the life of the muffler.

    The other key to less restriction and improved flow is mandrel bent tubing. First Gibson selects the optimal tubing diameter for the best engine efficiency, not the most exhaust flow, then they use CNC mandrel tube benders to make every tubing bend.
